How to get Smart Voter ID Card

Bangladesh Election Commission's National Identity Registration Wing (NIDW) introduced the Smart National Identity Card in October 2016. This card has an integrated circuit embedded in it and is also known as a "chip-based card". "Smart NID Card" in Bangladesh. It's a pocket-sized plastic card, about the size of a credit card, with an embedded integrated circuit that stores all the data.

 Twenty-five international certificates and standards have been confirmed to maintain the security of smart cards. Since they are machine readable cards, smart cards have additional security measures to prevent fraud. What is required for voter ID card registration?

Those who are 18 years of age or older, but not yet registered as voters, can register. The following files are required at the time of registration:

SSC or equivalent certificate

birth certificate

Passport, Driving License, or TIN Certificate (if available)

Copy of utility bill, house rent receipt, or holding tax receipt (as proof of address)

Citizenship Certificate (if applicable)
